2013 Film Junk Reader’s Choice Award Winners

It’s going to be a few more days before we get around to recording our year end podcast and revealing our own favourite films of 2013, but in the meantime I thought we should take a look at the best movies of the year according to Film Junk’s many discerning readers and listeners. Although we narrowed down the options for you in most of the various categories, it’s worth noting that the votes for best and worst movie of the year were completely open-ended. Perhaps the biggest surprise this year was a two-way tie for Best Action Movie, but many of the other categories were not as close as I expected them to be. Whether or not you think it was a bad year for cinema, I guess this partially proves that there wasn’t a lot of depth to this year’s crop of movies. What do you think about this year’s winners?
