Draft Day Trailer Starring Kevin Costner

Following up on yesterday’s trailer for Million Dollar Arm, here’s the first trailer for an upcoming sports drama of a different kind. Draft Day stars Kevin Costner as Sonny Weaver Jr., the fictional general manager of the Cleveland Browns, who is under intense pressure to turn his team around with the help of some solid draft picks. Much like Moneyball, the movie features very little actual on-field action and instead focuses on the business side of things. It doesn’t have the benefit of a script by Aaron Sorkin, but for what it’s worth the screenplay by Scott Rothman and Rajiv Joseph (Nurse Jackie) did top the 2012 Black List. Draft Day is directed by Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters) and hits theatres on April 11th, 2014.
