After a couple of slow weeks, the DVD and Blu-ray release calendar is finally starting to pick up again. Unfortunately, the two biggest titles this week are a couple of box office duds: Runner Runner starring Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake and Closed Circuit starring Eric Bana and Rebecca Hall. The good news is that there are a handful of indie releases that make up for it including Pedro Almodovar’s I’m So Excited!, Jim Mickle’s latest horror film We Are What We Are, and one of the best documentaries of the year, The Act of Killing. Jane Campion’s acclaimed mini-series Top of the Lake is also out this week along with season 4 of Archer and The Wicker Man: Final Cut on Blu-ray. What will you be buying or renting this week?
